A New Year...

Saturday, January 11, 2014

So I may be a little late on this New Year's Post, but hey, better late than never?

I had a wonderful 2013, sure there were ups and downs, but overall great. We celebrated our first year of marriage, bought a new car, my husband got accepted into his fellowship of choice, and will be applying for another fellowship this year (yes, TWO fellowships, the man likes to learn), my sister started law school, went on a fun girls trip, went to many concerts (Jay-Z, Beyonce, Madonna, Bruno Mars), lots of Houston Dynamo games, and lots of family time. I'm looking forward to everything 2014 has to offer. It's been great so far. It'll be my last semester of didactic learning, yay! I am beyond excited about that and I cannot wait for the fourth and final year of pharmacy school.

Obligatory new year's resolutions:
  1. Actually work out. I know this is on everyone's list, but I've actually been doing it, yay me!
  2. Eat healthy. Again, it's hard, but so far, so good, except for one day when my husband wanted wings.
  3. Spend more quality time with family and friends. I'm a home body and generally prefer the comfort of my couch over a loud and obnoxious place where I can't hold a conversation.
  4. Manage time better. I always start out the year/semester really good with this task, then somewhere mid-semester I lag off.
  5. Quit coke. Coca Cola that is. I was really good, but I caved the day before yesterday. I'm back on track to nixing coke out of my diet. Water with lemon is my new thing.
What were your new year's resolutions? I decided to be realistic this year and so far I've stuck to them, for the most part.

And, I know I haven't posted an outfit in a while, but hey life has been busy; I was on rotation all break long, getting home after the sun sets doesn't make for optimal photos. Hopefully, my photographer, aka my husband, won't be too tired this week to take some pictures. :)

'til next time.
