It is finally under 90 degrees weather down in Texas, but not quite fully "fall" since it creeps up into the mid-80s during the day. Anyhow, I decided to be brave and throw on my favorite casual winter coat for the Bloggers Do It Better post even though it was about 80 degrees when I took these photos.
I prefer short coats during the day and usually opt for a longer one for the evening and my favorite coat reminds me of a coat I had when I was about five years old. I just love the toggles, the fuzzies, and the detachable hood for when it does actually get a little frigid.
Tip: To snag the best deal on coats, I buy them off season or at the end of the season when they all go on sale. I got this coat for a fraction of the original price on sale in early January of this past year. Staple coats will transition from year to year, so as long it's not too trendy, you'll probably be able to wear it for years to come.
