Polka Dots and Leather

Thursday, December 6, 2012
I love all things stripes and polka dots, I gravitate to them like none other. They are classic essentials every girl should have, they will NEVER go out of style. I think it's my favorite pattern because I'm not that fond of floral, I never thought it looked really good on me, but the right stripes, especially nautical feeling ones, I love.  So I dug up some photos from years past for a glimpse of how much I love stripes and dots and these are just a few photos, if you know me, you know I wear A LOT of stripes.

Left: Spring 2012, Dress: I think I got it in NYC from Century21, sweater: AE (old), bag: Coach, sunnies: Chanel, Necklace: Tiffany's. Top Middle: Summer 09, Skirt: vintage (from my Aunt's closet), Top: Mossimo from Target, Bracelet: Handmade by yours truly ;), Bottom Middle: Spring 2011, Sister! on me: Dress: Palais Royal, Belt: Urban Outfitters, Necklace: Tiffany's (gift).  Right: Spring 2012, Dress, Pearl Necklace, & Earrings: F21, Blazer & Belt: Express, Watch: Fossil.

So you wouldn't be surprised that when I saw this sweater, I had to have it. I love the mint green color that's on trend right now. I wore this outfit on our "dress up" day to school because I didn't feel like wearing a dress or skirt, so this was professional enough for me. I made it a little edgy with my leather moto jacket and boots. A side note, so my photographer, aka my husband, is still learning how to work the SLR like I do, so I apologize for the grainy/blurriness of the photos. He's learning, slowly, but surely. I think over the break, I'll give him a crash course on lighting and on the settings.

Jacket: Victoria's Secret Online (old), Sweater: F21 (I think it's sold out), Oxford: Express (Long Sleeve Essential Shirt), Pants: Gap (Premium Really Skinny), Shoes: Shoedazzle (Pine, surprisingly comfortable too), Bag: Michael Kors.
Like my side pony? I thought it was a good cover up for my wild hair that would not cooperate.

Til next time, after finals. xoxo. (so tempted to say Gossip Girl, but I actually say xoxo in real life to my husband, family, and close friends. I'm so obsessed with xo I practically buy any piece of jewelry or home accent with those letters. My husband knows me so well that he got me the XO necklace and ring I was lusting after from Tiffany's as my wedding present.)
