Married life and update on life

Thursday, October 11, 2012
Well it's been a while since I last posted. Technically, I posted in July, but I've taken that down since. Life since being married in June, it's much better. Society fails to tell people that marriage in the beginning may not always be roses and sunshine as one thinks it may be, especially if you have never lived with one another.
That was the case for us, the first month was really rough, but we learned about compromise, albeit, there was a lot of arguing, yelling, and fighting. We made it through and now after four months we're getting the hang of married life. It really is about compromise, you can't have everything your way, as much as I wish I could, I can't, it's not fair.
Other than that, life has been pretty much the same. The wedding stress is over, it's strange that I miss the wedding planning, not the stress, just the picking decor, flowers, etc. I even miss my coordinator in a weird way; you sort of get attached to someone who is planning everything for your big day for a year a half. School is back in order, way too much going on there.
More on school, it always has felt like high school, but this semester I've made a promise to myself to not care about it all and see how that works out for me. I just don't have the patience to deal with petty things. So far, it's alright.
I've been blogging forever and a day, for 10 years first on blogger, then on Xanga, and back to Blogger, and I don't think anyone reads this anymore, so I was thinking of giving my blog a facelift. I was thinking about blogging my outfits everyday that I wear to school. Normal functional school clothes. Nothing fancy, affordable (I roll on a budget 'til I graduate), and comfortable. I'll still blog from time to time about other things because it's still my personal blog, I just wanted to make it more fun. We'll see how that pans out and see if I can keep up with it. I've been wanting to do it for a really long time, I just have a bit of motivation to do it now and I need something to keep me sane while I study my brains out. I think I'm going to enlist help from my fellow fashionista who is so up-to-date on all things social-media, Nadia, @NadiaThinks, just to chime in every now and then :) Looking forward to posting tomorrow, guess I should pick an outfit, yikes, for an 8:00 am review and I'll be in school until about 4:00.

  1. Woohoo! I love this idea and am fully supportive. Especially when adjusting to many things (marriage, school, real life, oh my!) it's great to take time for yourself and reflect on why you are awesome!
